Have you ever wondered, what in the world is happening in today's society? Tornadoes in the South, Earthquakes in Illinois, and Cyclones that killed, how many? If you are like me, then you want to find the answers. Do we find our answers by watching the evening news, or listening to the policticans in Washington? No, we go to the Word of God. The Bible gives us the answers we are looking for, and talks about God's plan for the future.
The discipes were curious about their generation and asked Jesus, "... Tell us, when shall these things be? and what shall be the sign of thy coming, and the end of the world (age)?" Matt 24:3.
Jesus tells them that there will be deception, natural disasters, and judgement. The Bible calls this period,"The Day of the Lord". It is a
time when God judges the world in righteousness or by the Law. The prophet Joel states," Alas for the day! for the Day of the Lord is at hand, and as a destruction from the Almighty shall it come."
Joel 1:15.
For the past two thousand years, God has been building His Church, as a bride for His Son. However, the world continues to rebel against God. Thus, God is storing up wrath against the world.
It is like God puts the world's sin on a loan that has to be paid for.
This loan has been collecting interest for the past two thousand years, and God will proclaim that it is time to pay up. The apostle
Paul says," But because of your stubborness and your unrepentant heart, you are storing up wrath, against yourself for the day of God's wrath, when his righteous judgement will be revealed." Romans 2:5 NIV.
The Bible tells us that God has a reserve of weapons that He will use in the battle and war. The book of Job states," Have you entered into the treasures of the snow? or have you seen the treasures of the hail, Which I have reserved against the time of trouble, against the day of battle and war?" Job 38:22-23. So, God is about to judge the world in righteousness. He is not willing that any should perish, but to come to the knowledge of the truth. On Mars Hill in Athens, the apostle Paul states," And the times of this ignorance God overlooked at; but now commands all men everywhere to repent. Because he has appointed a day, in which he will judge the world in righteousness by that man he has appointed; whereof of he has given assurance unto all men, in that  he has raised him from the dead." Acts 17:30-31.
However, as believers, we don't have to worry about God's judgement for sin because our judgement for sin happened two thousand years ago when Jesus died for our sins. The Bible says, "Much more then, being now justified by his blood, we shall be saved from wrath through him."  Romans 5:9. We are no longer objects of God's wrath, but we are objects of God's mercy. The Bible declares," For God has not appointed us to wrath, but to obtain salvation by our Lord Jesus Christ." I Thess 5:9. The church at Thessalonica thought they were in the time of judgement because of persecution and death. The apostle Paul reminds them that they are not. He tells them about, what people call today, the Rapture. The Bible calls it the Blessed Hope. Titus 2:13.
Finally, my friends, let not your heart be trouble or afraid.  Jesus is coming back for His bride. We don't have to worry about God's wrath, but it will come upon a unbelieving world. Let us be ready, and begin to lift our heads toward the sky.

"Come my people, enter thou into thy chambers, and shut thy doors about thee: hide thyself as it were for a little moment, until the indignation(wrath) be overpast. For behold the Lord cometh out of his place to punish the inhabitants of the earth for their iniquity: the earth also shall disclose her blood, and shall no more cover her slain." Isaiah 26:20

God Bless
